What to remember while you are in a diamond auction ![]()
1. Take your time: at least give about an hour and half to the place where the auctioning is taking place. Drive there earlier and inspect all the items that are kept for sale and than decide what you want. This gives you lots of time to think about lots of things. Things like what to buy? How much to pay for that? What's the market value of the item you want to buy? And many other things are thought and decided in this time. This time gives you a big advantage while bidding.
2. bid at last: never at the beginning of the auctioning. When you bid in the beginning the good bidding price might attract other bidders to the item you are interested in and make it expensive than you have anticipated. Bid when the crowd begins to thin out and you might be lucky.
3. Never complete in the bidding if you want it cheap: bidding immediately after someone and walking over his bidding price can agitate him and encourage him to bid and compete with you again and again. Never do that. Otherwise the item you were intending to buy gets too expensive and you will have to leave it behind. And never spend more than the market price of that particular item.
With these things in mind you'll be able to bring home some amazing stuff in really cheap price.
